Plans and limits
codqual has five plans. This page explains what counts against your monthly review limit, what happens when you reach it, and how to upgrade.
The five plans
| Plan | Monthly reviews |
|---|---|
| Free | 100 per month, per organization. |
| Squad | 260 per month. |
| Team | 700 per month. |
| Business | 2,500 per month. |
| Enterprise | Custom — generous defaults, tailored per contract. |
What counts as a review
One thing counts against the limit:
- Every pull-request review — each push to an open pull request triggers one.
The counter is organization-wide and resets at the start of each month, in UTC.
Repo scans are a separate allowance
A repo scan analyses your whole repository, not one pull request, so it does not draw on the review limit above — every plan gets its own monthly scan allowance, and unlike reviews it is finite except on Enterprise. Both the scheduled weekly sweep and scans you start yourself count against it. Your current usage is in Settings → Billing; a scan requested past the allowance is not queued and returns HTTP 429.
Approaching the limit
At 80% of your monthly limit, the billing contact receives a warning email. You can toggle it under Settings → Email notifications, and the usage bar lives in Settings → Billing.
At the limit
Once you reach the limit, new PR reviews post an upgrade notice instead of a review, and API calls return HTTP 429. Nothing is queued — reviews resume when the monthly window resets, or as soon as you upgrade.
Upgrading
Upgrading is manual for now — there is no self-serve checkout yet. Email us at hello@codqual.com, and we will move your organization to the plan you want.
